You received an error message stating that your account cannot be verified with EERE Active Directory. This article provides a step-by-step guide to ensure your correct email address is displayed first in the OneID Phonebook.
Before You Begin
This process requires access to your Employee Self Service (ESS) account. If you do not have an ESS account, you can request one by sending an email to CBSHelpDesk@hq.doe.gov.
Follow the steps below:
Step 1: Verify Your Current OneID Phonebook Entry
- Access the OneID Phonebook by navigating to OneID Phonebook.
- Enter your name in the search bar.
- Review the email addresses listed.
- If your desired email is not the first one displayed, proceed to Step 2.
Step 2: Login to Employee Self Service (ESS)
- Login to Employee Self Service (ESS) https://ess.doe.gov/
- If you do not have an ESS account, send an email to CBSHelpDesk@hq.doe.gov. to request an account.
Step 3: Navigate to Email Addresses in ESS
Navigate to the following path: Personal Information > Locator Information > Email Addresses
Step 4: Update Your Official DOE Email
- Locate the field labeled "Official DOE Email."
- Update this field to your desired DOE email address.
Step 5: Review and Submit Changes
- Review any other fields in this section as desired and make any necessary updates.
- Click the "Submit" button to save your changes.
Note: It may take 24-48 hours for these updates to fully load to the OneID Phonebook and for your correct email address to appear as the primary listing.
