Congressional Interest Items (CIIs) are critical for both Financial Assistance and Lab projects within CMEI. This guide will walk you through the process of locating and editing these items in your Project Monitoring section to ensure accurate reporting and allocation.

STEP 1: Access the Project Monitoring Tab 

  • On the PM Bridge home page, navigate to the right Action panel.

  • Click the Project Monitoring tab to access CIIs.

STEP 2: Navigate to Crosscuts & CIIs

  • Within the Project Monitoring tab, click Crosscuts & CIIs.

  • This action will open the section where you can view and modify CIIs associated with your project.


STEP 3: Review and Edit Current CIIs

  • Review the displayed list of CIIs, checking the FY, Office, CII, Title, and Percent Allocation.

  • To update the % Allocation, simply modify the value in the relevant field.

  • To remove a CII, click the Trash icon next to the item you wish to delete. 


STEP 4: Add New CIIs 

  • To introduce a new CII to your project, click + Add CII.

  • After clicking, you can repeat Step 3 to review and adjust the new CII's details and allocation.


STEP 5: Select CII Options and Fiscal Years

  • To broaden your selection, check "Include all Office CIIs as Options"; this will display CIIs from other offices in the dropdown menu.

  • To view CIIs from previous years relevant to your project's timeline, check "Include all FYs".


STEP 6: Finalize Your Changes 

  • If you need to discard all changes and reload the original project data, click Reset.

  • To exit without saving any modifications, click Close.

  • To permanently save all your edits to the database, click Save.
