Congressional Interest Items (CIIs) are critical for both Financial Assistance and Lab projects within CMEI. This guide will walk you through the process of locating and editing these items in your Project Monitoring section to ensure accurate reporting and allocation. |
|
On the PM Bridge home page, navigate to the right Action panel.
Click the Project Monitoring tab to access CIIs.
|
Within the Project Monitoring tab, click Crosscuts & CIIs.
This action will open the section where you can view and modify CIIs associated with your project.
Review the displayed list of CIIs, checking the FY, Office, CII, Title, and Percent Allocation.
To update the % Allocation, simply modify the value in the relevant field.
To remove a CII, click the Trash icon next to the item you wish to delete.
To introduce a new CII to your project, click + Add CII.
After clicking, you can repeat Step 3 to review and adjust the new CII's details and allocation.
To broaden your selection, check "Include all Office CIIs as Options"; this will display CIIs from other offices in the dropdown menu.
To view CIIs from previous years relevant to your project's timeline, check "Include all FYs".
If you need to discard all changes and reload the original project data, click Reset.
To exit without saving any modifications, click Close.
To permanently save all your edits to the database, click Save.
What if I can't find the "Project Monitoring" tab?
Ensure you are logged into PM Bridge and have the necessary permissions for project management. If the issue persists, contact your system administrator.
Why don't I see all the CIIs I expect when trying to add a new one?
You might need to check the "Include all Office CIIs as Options" or "Include all FYs" checkboxes to expand the available selection from other offices or previous fiscal years.
What happens if I accidentally remove a CII?
If you haven't clicked "Save" yet, you can click "Reset" to revert all changes. If you have already saved, you will need to re-add the CII using the "+ Add CII" function.
How do I know which Percent Allocation to use for a CII?
The Percent Allocation should reflect the proportion of the project's resources or focus attributed to that specific CII. Consult your project manager or KMSO for guidance on appropriate allocation percentages.
