Before You Begin

  • The project status must be either Approved or Mod-Approved.

Follow the steps below:

Step 1: Locate Your Project

  1. From the Lab Planning Home page, locate your project.

Step 2: Unlock Fields

  1. Click the Project Title or the Actions dropdown menu and select Edit.

  2. From the Manage Project dropdown, select Unlock Fields.

        • A warning pop-up will appear:

          "Would you like to unlock the project?"

        • Click Proceed to continue and unlock the fields.

          • The project status changes to "Approved - Edits in Progress".

        • Click Cancel to abort the action.

        • Fields that do not affect budget, scope or schedule are available to edit.

          • Only editable fields that do not require a modification display and can be changed.



    • Step 3: Update Project Information

      1. Once the fields are unlocked, you can now make your desired updates to the project information.

      Step 4: Lock Fields

      1. When edits are complete, from the Manage Project dropdown, select Lock Fields.

        • The system will prompt the user to save the changes.

        • Click Proceed to continue and lock the fields.

          • After proceeding, the project status is 'Approved' and changes are saved.

        • Click Cancel to continue making edits.





What Happens Next

  • After submitting, the project status will update to Approved.
